Teacher Terms of Service

If you wish to provide your educational services on the Site, Teacher is part of the Lingotalking Terms of Service and you must read and agree to the Additional Terms of Service for Teachers ("Teacher Terms") ("Terms") ( https://lingotalking.com/kr/clause/service.php) These Teacher terms and conditions apply to accounts authorized to become Teachers on the site, or if you do not fully accept these Teacher terms, you are not authorized to teach on the Site and you will not be eligible for Lingotalking's benefit for all training services you provide on the Site.

1. Eligibility for Service Use

To use the service, you must meet the following requirements:
-You must be able to work legally in your home country and in your current country.

2. Approved Training Services

To become a "teacher," you must first submit a Teacher application. Completed Teacher applications will be evaluated with the approval of Lingotalking. If the Teacher application is approved, the membership status changes to “Teacher”. You can create and manage Teacher profiles on this site and start "Training Services" as a Teacher. Once approved in the assessment, the site can offer a variety of language courses. Educational services may not contain prohibited
content. It is your responsibility to accurately describe your course.

3. Description of Training Services

In order to provide the class, the Teacher must write a description of the teaching service on language learning. When writing a description of your educational services, you must agree to the following guidelines:
-Write specific, detailed service descriptions with clear scope, deliverables and lessons learned.
-You must set expectations that can be met or exceeded.
-Do not create a service intended to commit fraud or provide services other than those described in the description. This includes providing your services without positive feedback or expense.

4. Use of educational services

-The Teacher must determine the reliability, certainty, credibility, usefulness of the information provided by Lingotalking, the quality, certainty, reliability, and usefulness of other services, and the student agrees to accept his or her responsibilities.
-The Teacher must understand that Lingotalking is not hiring you and that there is no employment contract between the Teacher and Lingotalking.
-Lingotalking is not responsible for any information, files or items exchanged between the student and the Teacher and prevents Lingotalking from taking responsibility for any loss or loss of students caused by the information, files or items provided.
-Teacher may not exchange files or objects not related to the class unless Lingotalking expressly authorizes them.

5. Training Service Delivery Guidelines

By receiving a request for training services, you agree to the following guidelines:
-Manage student requests using the Lingotalking platform.
-Respond to student or all Lingotalking-related communication within one day as possible.
Maintain a record of all communication between the student and the Teacher. Communication methods can include Skype, external email, instant messages, phone calls, or direct conversations. Important details include information about scope, deliverables, time zones, prices, feedback, revisions, rescheduling, leave, availability, delays, acceptance of deliverables, and lecture completion. Inform the student of the available time and response time.
-Please inform the student if you are unable to work more than one day.
-If you need to change your class time, if it is more than 24 hours before your class time, you can adjust your class time by contacting students directly via Skype. You must request a time adjustment at least 24 hours before the start of class. Also, the confirmation of class changes is only made when you and the student agree. So, talk to each other and talk about change issues.
-Respond as soon as possible to all requests for education services with a time / date or accept or decline. -Lingotalking allows you to change your own class schedule if the Teacher and student agree.
There may be times when you have agreed to reschedule but the schedule has not been confirmed because the student or teacher did not respond. In this situation, Lingotalking will take the following steps to end the class and allocate Lingco: (When neither student nor Teacher gave new time and date)
If both the student and the Teacher do not provide a new time and date within 7 days, the class will be canceled and Lingco will be divided between the student and the Teacher.
* Note: For Lingco paid to the Teacher, Lingotalking will charge 15% as usual.
-(One side presented a new time and date but the other side did not respond) If one side proposes a new schedule but the other party has no response to the request and the changed school day is approaching, the changed class application expires and Lingco returns to the party who first presented the new schedule.
* Note: If a student presents a new schedule but the Teacher does not respond: The student will be returned to Lingco, and the Teacher will pay Lingotalking for a 15% penalty. If the Teacher presents a new schedule but the student does not respond: The student is considered to have taken the class and no Lingco is returned. -Provide educational services for you.
-Students who have a complaint about your educational services should contact you directly through the site or application regarding a problem or complaint. The Teacher must first try to resolve the problem or complaint directly with the student.
If a problem or complaint cannot be resolved between the Teacher and the student, Lingotalking will use all communication records as evidence to determine how to settle the dispute. Lingotalking reserves the right at our sole discretion -Agree to preserve the privacy of your students. This includes not requiring any personally identifiable information (such as birth date, age, government issued number, phone number or home address). Agree to keep your personal information confidential.
Agree to keep personal records of all invoices and payments. Agree to cooperate with Lingotalking in Prohibited Conduct and Dispute Resolution. Do not use prohibited content or content that violates copyright.

6. Lingotalking Education Policy and Teacher Regulation

A) Educational Standards
All Teachers approved through Lingotalking must agree to the Teacher's working conditions. In addition, we require all Teachers to follow the rules of Lingotalking. The Lingotalking Teacher Policy is a general teaching guide for all Lingotalking Teachers. The purpose of this regulation is to:
-To clarify the goals and expectations of Lingotalking to encourage all Teachers to do their best in their priesthood relationship with students.
-To provide a set of principles to support Lingotalking Teachers in teaching and communicating with students.
-Lingotalking teachers are located all over the world, so our teaching rules are based on universal standards of respect and tolerance. This regulation does not address specific situations, but provides guidance for ethical and professional conduct.
B) Lingotalking Teacher Rules
a. Be sensitive to cultural diversity and respect the values and standards that your students follow. Unless you have a strong relationship with you, you should avoid asking students about the following topics during class.
-Privacy: Do not ask if the student is married or if he or she is in a relationship.
-Political Orientation: Please refrain from asking about your political orientation or political affiliation.
Religion: Refrain from asking about your religion or their religious perspective.
b. Politely and patiently
Your students all speak different languages and come from different cultural backgrounds. Respect and courteous to each other It is very important that you help them learn their language and solve their problems. Encourage your students to do better!
-Don't blame or scold students! Do not insult students because they are stupid or ridicule their language level.
-Don't use rude language. Always be polite, respectful and professional courtesy.
-Do not be angry with the student. If you can't handle the situation calmly, please send it to us by email. We will do our best to solve the problem.
c. Provision of Professional Education Services As a teacher at Lingotalking, you are providing services to students who have paid for your class. Teachers should take the lead in communicating and managing students. The following are the professional attitudes we require from you.
-Be agile in answering your questions and requests.
-Do not record or record a class without the student's consent. Public uploading and posting of a person's recordings without their permission is a violation of privacy.
-Regularly check your inbox and schedule. If there are any changes, please reflect them immediately in your profile and schedule. Active teachers are more attractive to students.
-Teach your language Students pay to learn a new language. Give students more chances to talk during class. Don't just use class time to practice your native language.
C) Lingotalking Policy
-Appointment: A confirmed class is an appointment you make with your students. Rescheduling or canceling classes should be the last resort and communicate well with students in advance. If you are absent or will not be able to respond to students, instruct them to inform you of your absence and update your schedule as such.
-Dispute: If there is a dispute, both the teacher and the student must show evidence in the form of screenshots (evidence showing relevant information including time and date). -Start on time: Teachers should contact the students first. Especially in the first class.
-Connections: Teachers must be connected with students on an accepted communication platform before class.
-Waiting for Students: Teachers must be ready for class and wait for students to finish the class. Teachers should be able to start classes at the time the learner appears. Teachers do not have to make up for lost time.
-End Class: Teachers should kindly inform students of the class before the end of the class. You can also politely say that classes with other students are waiting for you to prepare.
-Attendance Failure: If a student fails attendance and wants to adjust class time, it is entirely up to the teacher to decide whether or not to adjust the time.
D) Lingotalking Class Cancellation and Scheduling Policy
a. Rescheduling
-Schedule requests must be made 24 hours before class starts. Most importantly, both you and the teacher must agree to this schedule adjustment.
-Within 24 hours of class start time, rescheduling of confirmed classes can only be done by both the student and the teacher.
b. cancel
-Class cancellations must be agreed between the student and teacher at least 24 hours before the start of class (at least 24 hours before the start of class)
-Within 24 hours of class start time, class cancellations must be agreed upon by both the student and the teacher, and must be announced by Lingotalking. Both you and the teacher must email Lingotalking about the cancellation of your class.
E) Violation of the Lingotalking Policy or Terms of Service
Lingotalking reserves the right to disable Teacher accounts that are found to violate the Lingotalking Training Policy. If you believe that what you are doing may be considered a violation, please contact us immediately. Major training account violations include, but are not limited to:
a. Violation of the Lingotalking Community Guidelines
Lingotalking teachers are part of the Lingotalking community. Help maintain a positive language learning environment. Don't engage in spam, rude language, obscenity, theft, or personal information. Check out the full text of the Lingotalking Community Guidelines for more information.
b. Lingotalking Teacher Violation
As an online Teacher at Lingotalking, students trust you and choose you. Keep your time, don't lose your expertise, and take responsibility for Lingotalking and your relationships with students in class. Lingotalking rules are at the top of this page.
c. Lingotalking System Policy Violation
< What not to do >
-Provide false, misleading, inaccurate or expressed information (profile, course content, class history, feedback, etc.)
-Requiring others to upload false, misleading, inaccurate, plagiarized or private information
-Provide your services for free in exchange for feedback
-Advertising and promoting commercial goods or competitive services
-Posting personal contact information or information that may encourage you to book or pay for classes outside of the Lingotalking Platform.
-Leaving the Lingotalking profile unattended with complete, accurate and updated information. Managing multiple (2 or more) Lingotalking accounts
-Violate the Lingotalking Policy and Terms of Service provided below; d. Forgery of education / resume / career / certificates
If we find that your education, resume, career or certificate has been forged, your teacher profile will be deactivated or blocked as soon as possible. Lingotalking will also return your earned Lingco, and you will lose access to Lingotalking's classes and course history.
(Lingotalking Teacher Policy)
If you do not agree with the above policies and guidelines and the policies outlined below, please refrain from applying as a Lingotalking Teacher. We are fully aware that there are many different views on the issue, but these are the official policies of Lingotalking. We reserve the right to deactivate your teacher account if you find that you have violated these guidelines and policies. As a Lingotalking teacher, you must agree to the following policies.

(Provide your lecture service on Lingotalking)
-Lingotalking encourages professional, complete and open communication between students and teachers. Open communication helps students make informed decisions and teachers develop relevant curricula. In the event of a dispute, all written communication in Lingotalking will be used as a record for resolving the dispute.
-I need accurate and courteous feedback. Lingotalking provides feedback and evaluation systems as a tool for users to express their opinions publicly. Lingotalking does not track, monitor, or investigate the content of these assessments unless they are contacted by an administrator. If feedback from a particular user is deemed to be an abuse of the system, it should be reported to the Lingotalking Administrator (see Terms of Service for details).
-Complete the Teacher registration process with truthful, accurate and complete information. Update to maintain the integrity, accuracy and completeness of your information. At times, your member account may be subject to verification as well as editorial and feedback reviews. Lingotalking may reserve or terminate any information you provide or post that is incomplete or inaccurate or as a result of violating other Terms of Service.

7. Guidelines for creating a course

You agree to use the following course creation guidelines.
-Detailed course outline including clear scope, outcome data and lessons learned
-Set expectations that you can meet7. Course Policy
-If you ask during the course, you will be deducted one more tuition than the number of classes you have completed and one less tuition will be given to the student. (Example: if suspended after five out of ten courses, only four times will be paid, not the other five. The one-time amount will be refunded to the student who took the class.)
-If a student requests a course break first, the fee will be charged once the class is completed. One additional tuition fee will be given to the Teacher. (Example: if suspended after five out of 10 courses, the student will be paid a total of six rinks, and one out of the six payments made by the student will be returned to the teacher.)
-If there is a dispute as to who started the course first and the student and the Teacher cannot reach a compromise, Lingotalking will mediate the dispute. The decision of Lingotalking is final. It is up to the student and the Teacher to submit evidence to appeal his or her situation. If your student / Teacher hasn’t responded to your course suspension request for more than seven days, please send an email with the course information to Lingotalking so we can stop the course for you.

8. Password Management and Usage

-Define your own password or specify a password provided by Lingotalking to access various restricted areas of the site. Lingotalking is not responsible for your password management.
-You must not provide or disclose your password to third parties.
-If you or someone else improperly uses your password or harms a third party, Lingotalking is not
responsible

9. License Authorization

-The Teacher agrees that all users who purchase your class (“Student”) will obtain and be granted
a license to use the non-exclusive, non-exclusive rights and content contained in that class worldwide as a result of such purchase. You may use it solely for personal or non-commercial educational purposes. You agree that all content you submit to this site (part of your class or other means) includes the statements, warranties, licenses and You acknowledge that you are subject to other terms, please read carefully Acknowledging that you may use your content and information on marketing, advertising, and promotion of our site as a medium, you are authorized to use your name as part of such marketing, advertising, or promotional activities.
-Lingotalking has the right to use teacher-introduced videos for marketing, advertising or promotion purposes.
-Lingotalking posts video for teachers on official channels from third-party video hosting and streaming services such as YouTube Video, Vimeo, and Youku to ensure access and visibility for Lingotalking students regardless of location.

10. Payment terms for teachers

-Requested Amount: The sum of all payments earned through the completed class (except for fees and credits or refunds due to cancellation) will be posted to your account immediately after the session is confirmed.
-Taxes: You are solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, local, and foreign taxes or charges imposed by the government, directly or indirectly, on your Teacher registration. -Lingotalking Commission
Lingotalking only collects fees when you purchase a class or book a tutoring session and complete the transaction. If a refund occurs under the terms and conditions, the fee is limited to the non-refundable amount to the student. The fee for each purchase transaction on the site is 15% of the total tuition fee. Expenditure of funds, you are responsible for paying the funds in your Lingotalking account by Paypal, bank account or other means registered and pre-approved through Lingotalking. Lingotalking must calculate the monthly tuition fee and transfer it to th designated bank account or Paypal account according to the following schedule. Payment will be made on the 15th of next month. Teachers are responsible for other expenses, including tuition collection and withdrawal fees. If a student requests a Lingco refund (“Lingotalking Coin”) and the Company grants Lingco in accordance with the User Terms or User Cancellation Policy, the Teacher will not receive tuition. If the tuition has already been paid for a specific class that is eligible for a refund, you must send that amount back to Lingotalking. You must keep the class consistent to maintain high student satisfaction.

11. Following is a violation of the Teacher Terms and Conditions

-Students request a refund of Lingco for good cause.
-If you did not provide training services that accepted payment.
-The class is considered disturbed or confused for more than 20% of the time promised in the classroom consent.
-Violate our Terms of Service, privacy policy or other policies. Do not make reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute with the student.
-Causing unacceptable student dissatisfaction
-Your bank account information or any other information you provide is incomplete or inaccurate.

12. Teacher Code of Ethics

We believe in learning to gain the value and knowledge of education. We will not tolerate plagiarism, copyright infringement, or inappropriate methods of education and will disable accounts of persons who knowingly engage in such conduct. In addition, if you feel that you are improperly using the instructions or feedback you provide, end the class or cancel the student's order and notify the party immediately through the feedback form or live chat.
